Little Women
This production of Little Women was directed for Cedar Park Middle School and provided students with the opportunity to bring this beloved story to life for our school community.
I coached students character development, vocal expression, and stage movement, guiding them through the process of building believable characters and telling a clear story on stage. I also led rehearsals, developed blocking, and worked closely with student technicians and crew members to ensure that all elements of the production worked together to create the world of our play.
To create more opportunities for student involvement, the production was double cast, with one cast consisting of 8th grade students and the other featuring 6th and 7th graders. Managing two full casts of students was a new experience for me, but one that I feel stretched me as an educator and helped me further improve my organizational and time management skills.
The production was warmly received by families, staff, and community members, and it was incredibly rewarding to watch our students grow as performers and share their work with an enthusiastic audience.
